Barcelona vs Pumas UNAM

- La Liga on ESPN+: Stream LIVE games and replays (U.S. only)

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Frenkie de Jong completed the scoring in the second half as Xavi Hernandez's side rounded off an unbeaten preseason with their fourth win in six matches.

Barca's LaLiga campaign kicks off next Saturday at home to Rayo Vallecano (watch live on ABC, ESPN+ at 3 p.m. ET), while Pumas return to Liga MX action against Club America next weekend.

Despite a trophyless season last time out, there is excitement at Barca once again following a summer of spending, with Lewandowski, Raphinha, Jules Kounde, Franck Kessie and Andreas Christesen all arriving.

They were all presented to a crowd of over 80,000 before the game, with Lewandowski drawing the loudest roar from supporters following his €45 million transfer from Bayern Munich.

The Poland striker had failed to score in three friendlies for his new club so far, but he took less than two minutes to find the net against Pumas, rounding goalkeeper Julio Jose Gonzalez and finishing from a tight angle after a fine pass from Pedri.

5 moments from Joe Mafela's memorial we will never forget

For over four hours mourners watched as Joe's life was celebrated in song and speeches from those closest him.

Tributes from Mfundi Vundla to Patrick Shai were given, recounting some of the most memorable moments they shared with Joe.
Here are five moments from the memorial that took our breath away...

My father, the drummer
Mourners could hardly believe their eyes when Joe's son Jimmy started off his tribute by rushing to a drum on stage and playing it enthusiastically for the crowd. "My father was not an actor, he was a drummer," Jimmy proudly declared as he made his way back from the instrument.

Not a dry eye in the place
Jimmy's tribute to his father left many in tears, but the tissues were first brought out much earlier in the proceedings. The ceremony started with a video tribute to Joe that included not only some of the actor's best on-screen moments but also several tributes from his closest friends. It was too much for many of Joe's family members who were in tears and later held each other for comfort.

That epic fist bump!
They still got it! Several of the industries most celebrated veterans were called on to stage at the memorial to pay tribute to Joe. As the veterans made their way to the podium, one of the most "rockstar" moments of the entire ceremony took place. One of the veterans reached out to greet another not with a handshake but with an epic fist bump.

Tony preaches fire from the pulpit
Veteran actor and president of Creative and Cultural Industries Federation of South Africa (CCIFSA) Tony Kgoroge took to the pulpit to deliver a stinging rebuke to the entertainment industry. In his address he lambasted the industry for exploiting actors. He then turned his attention to the SABC and asked that the broadcaster pay artists the royalties owed to them,

Cynthia's brutally honest moment
Another actor who used the occasion to lambaste the industry was veteran Cynthia Shange. The Muvhango actress gave an emotionally-charged address where she shared some of the challenges that creatives' face in the industry. By the time she was done most of the mourners in the theatre were on their feet applauding her.

WATCH: Cynthia Shange's brutally honest speech at Joe Mafela memorial: We are not happy

Veteran actress Cynthia Shange took to the podium at Joe Mafela's memorial to pay tribute to a man who she has known for 43 years. She didn't waste the opportunity and publicly denounced the entertainment and acting business in South Africa.

She made reference to the fact that most "talent" are never on permanent contracts but are considered freelancers.

"We can't get a loan. We are not happy. We pose for selfies and sign autographs but we are not happy. We battle. I've been on Muvhango for 18 years and I have never been permanent."
Making reference to the fact that many actors die poor, Cynthia said that it is not for a lack of trying.

"When one of us die, it's not like we don't like we don't know how to save, it's that we don't have the money. This is our passion. We do it because we love it. But we are not happy."
She was speaking at the memorial service for the late Joe Mafela who died in a car accident on Saturday night.

Joe “Sdumo” Mafela

Joe Mafela, actor, songwriter and film producer was born in 1942 in Sibasa, Limpopo Province. His father worked as a shop assistant in a Chinese shop in Sophiatown. When Joe was three years old he left Johannesburg along with his mother, who was expecting her second child. They returned to Limpopo where his brother was also born. Mafela’s family moved to Kliptown, south of Johannesburg in 1947. The family remained in Kliptown for five years.

In 1952 they moved to White City Jabavu, a township that was conceived as a temporary shelter for many families removed from one of the squatter settlements that sprang up in Soweto in the 1940s.

Mafela’s family remained in White City for another five years before moving to Tshiawelo Township. This move was consistent with the expectations of local authorities at the time. Tshiawelo was set aside for Africans considered to have originally come from the Limpopo Province. These included the Venda (Mafela is a Venda), the Tsonga and to a lesser extent, the Balobedu. Mafela’s family was resident in Tshiawelo until 1990.

Mafela had an illustrious career in film, television and stage. He made his acting debut at the age of 22 in 1964, when he appeared in the feature movie 'Real News' directed by Peter Hunt (who is best known for having directed the James Bond movie, 'From Russia with Love'). In this film Mafela played the character of an editor. This was the beginning of a career that would span forty years, making him one of the most celebrated personalities in the Entertainment Industry. 'Real News' was followed ten years later by 'Shout at the Devil', also directed by Peter Hunt,

In 1974 Mafela co-starred in South Africa’s first Black feature film, “Udeliwe” with Cynthia Shange. In the film he played the role of Peter Pleasure, a Malawian. His performance in the movie helped endear him to Soweto’s movie goers, with many a young men mimicking his lines.

“Shout at the devil” was shot at Brodestroom, west of Pretoria, near Haartebeespoort Dam. The movie was shot during the 1976 Soweto riots. Asked about the impact of the 1976 riots on his acting career and how they influenced it in the 1980s Mafela replied: "none".

During the 1980s his television career took off. Joe Mafela starred in a Zulu Language sitcom “Sgudi ‘Snaysi” (“it is good; it is nice”), in which he portrayed the character of 'Sdumo'.  This sitcom became a major hit in Black television as it ran to 78 episodes on SABC. Mafela had established a great working relationship with the SABC and that is where he started doing advertising through the company, BBDO, as a creative director. He worked primarily in production, but also dabbled in voice-overs, radio materials and advertising.

Asked about the impact of P.W Botha's regime on the entertainment industry, Mafela’s response was a terse: “I did not take note of that”.  At that stage in South Africa, television was just starting to boom. Mafela had developed a great working relationship with Roberta Durrant, the creative director of Penguin Films. The relationship matured to the extent that, he came to co-owns Penguin Films and was also its creative director and producer.

In 1996 Joe Mafela released his first music album with the record company, Gallo Records, based in Johannesburg. The album, named Shebeleza, became a huge success. The title track, Shebeleza, was used as a theme song during the Africa Cup of Nations in 1996. He subsequently released three more albums in his musical career. His lyrics are often a combination of South Africa’s official languages.

In the new millennium he was considered a pioneer and veteran in the Entertainment Industry and in 2005 he received a lifetime management theatre achievement award. This was followed by numerous awards that included the Duku Duku award. Mafela also scooped the best comedic actor award at the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA).

Joe Mafela was successful in the entertainment industry for more than forty years and yet was known for retaining a strong sense of humility about his achievements. He died in a car accident in Johannesburg on 18 March 2017.

Hands on: New Nokia 3310 (2017) review

Our Early Verdict

For those who fondly remember the Nokia 3310 the new model will almost be a no-brainer of a purchase. Its low price, pleasing feature set and long battery life make it appealing for anyone looking for a back-up handset, festival phone or just a simple retro buy.

For

  • Full-on nostalgia hit
  • Low cost
  • Snake!!!

Against

  • Only a 2MP camera
  • Low res screen
  • 2.5G connectivity
Update: We've now had word that the new Nokia 3310 release date could be May, although we're still waiting to hear officially when you'll be able to buy it.

If any phone can sell itself on nostalgia alone, that phone is the Nokia 3310.
It’s one of the most popular mobiles of all time, remembered for its near-indestructible build, long-lasting battery and legendary Snake (well Snake II if we’re being accurate) game, and the team licensing the Nokia phone name has jumped at the chance to reignite the love for a phone which was once the leader in the mobile market.

Enter the new Nokia 3310, a lovingly crafted homage to the iconic handset with a helping of modern-day upgrades. If you were a fan of the 3310, the likelihood is you’ll want to pick this up.If you're less familiar with the original though, this is just another feature phone which won't satisfy your smartphone sensibilities.
New Nokia 3310 specs
Weight: 79.6g
Dimensions: 115.6 x 51 x 12.8mm
OS: Nokia Series 30+
Screen size: 2.4-inch
Resolution: 240 x 320
Storage: 16MB, microSD (32GB)
Battery: 1,200mAh
Rear camera: 2MP

New Nokia 3310 price and release date

The Nokia 3310 price has been set at €49 (around $40, £35, AU$55), placing it perfectly as a secondary phone purchase and it’s one that will likely appeal to both Nokia fans and festival goers. Some may balk at having to even pay that much for a ‘dumb phone’, but the spec sheet of the new 3310 does enough to justify the cost. There’s no firm new Nokia 3310 release date just yet, with the firm only confirming that it will be available sometime in Q2 (April-June). That hasn't stopped online retailer Clove from listing the new 3310 release date as available from May on its website though, although it does note "official price and availability to be confirmed" - so that May date could be subject to change.

Tropical Storm Dineo to bring heavy rain to Lim

Tropical Cyclone Dineo

The tropical weather system is expected to affect parts of Limpopo and Mpumalanga later this week says the South African Weather Service. The South African Weather Service has warned that Tropical Storm Dineo is set to reach Tropical Cyclone stage with further intensification by Wednesday.

On Monday, the Weather Service stated they had been monitoring the development of a tropical weather system in the Mozambique Channel, saying the weather system has the potential to result in severe weather impacts over the north eastern parts of the country later this week.
“Weather conditions in the Mozambique Channel continue to be hot and humid‚ with light winds in the atmosphere‚ whilst sea-surface temperatures exceed 30°C over the eastern part of this region‚ adjoining the Mozambique Channel. These are all favourable ingredients for the growth and intensification of tropical lows.”

Further intensification is expected and the storm will reach the Intense Tropical Cyclone (winds of up to 166-212 km/h) around midday (Wednesday), before making landfall at midnight near Inhambane in southern Mozambique.

South Africa will only start to experience the rain from this tropical system on Thursday over the Lowveld, spreading westwards by Friday. During Thursday and Friday, the north eastern parts of South Africa, including parts of the Kruger

National Park, may experience heavy rain as well as localised flooding.

Whilst there is much uncertainty regarding the location and timing of the storm’s impact within South Africa, the most likely areas to be affected include the Ehlanzeni district (including the Kruger National Park) in Mpumalanga as well as Mopani and Vhembe districts in Limpopo, before spreading to other districts in Limpopo.

The South African Weather Service says it will continue to monitor any further developments relating to this weather system and will issue subsequent updates as required. “Furthermore, the public is urged to regularly follow weather forecasts on television and radio,” they said.

No more sex and booze for Dineo Ranaka

Controversial TV personality Dineo Ranaka, of Dineo's Diary fame, believes she has ditched her "bad girl" tag, concentrating instead on motherhood and her new career as a producer.

Speaking on a wide range of issues about her life, Ranaka, known for not mincing her words, said she was "on an alcohol and intercourse fast" when asked about the man in her life, "I don't go around looking for men. I'm a mom, for crying out loud, I have to be exemplary to my kids. If a man wants me, he has to find me,"Dineo has done a 180 degrees of a personal transformation, see, I'm not even wearing make-up because I don't see myself as a celeb." Ranaka (32) has previously been in a relationship with rap star BlackLez and has been romantically linked to sushi king Kenny Kunene.

She has two children: a six-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter, "I'm more centred. I'm a career woman. I own a production house and I'm presently putting together a concept for a new lifestyle TV show, "I'm focussing more on the positive attributes of my life, like going back to the values, I'm proud of growing up, learning, building a family because there is no substitute for wisdom, you need it to succeed. I'm a lot more mature after entering my 30s."

Ranaka said after all the drama she has been through in her life, she has stayed strong because of prayer, "I'm a God-fearing woman. I pray. I still have both my parents who have helped me raise my kids. They made me a better parent. I don't see myself as a single parent. I have my flaws. I'm imperfect but I was born to be excellent in all that I do," she said.

Researching trends

Talking about her reality TV show Dineo's Diary, which is aired on Vuzu Amp, she said when she first created the show she did not anticipate its success, "It has actually surprised me how it has been well-received. I researched reality show trends in the US and saw a market. There was interest and demand for reality shows locally because of the popularity of the overseas versions.

"I tested the waters and I tested myself and pitched the idea. They told me to 'be careful of what you ask for' as the show would reveal the real Dineo because I'm often misunderstood, "Granted, where there's smoke, there's fire but sometimes the magnitude of the fire is exaggerated, especially because I'm always on TV or radio." About leaving the e.tv Friday night music show Club 808, she said the parting was amicable.

"I cannot force myself to stay in a space that I've outgrown. I move to other platforms. When it comes to Mzansi Magic's All Access, the contract was not renewed as the new producers had their own ideas about what they wanted the show to look like, it was not about Proverb or Nandi (Mngoma), "It's a natural progression. I can't commit to radio forever. I have an independent entrepreneurial spirit. I can't do everything at the same time.", Ranaka said the new lifestyle show she was producing would be about a variety of issues including "relationships, how to be yourself, parenting, romance and personal finance".
