Several Banana Boat aerosol sunscreens sold at Woolworths and Coles have been recalled.

 

Customers have been assured that the company’s other sun care products, such as aerosols, are still safe to use.

Woolworths and Coles, as well as pharmacies across Australia, sold the aerosol sunscreens.

The affected batches’ unsold products will be taken off the shelves.

The recall follows a similar one by Neutrogena earlier this year.

In August of this year, the skincare company issued a recall for its Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen Spray SPF 50(plus).

Following the discovery of benzene in some batches, the company advised customers to discard the product.

At the time of the recall, Neutrogena stated that it was recalling its product due to an “abundance of caution.”
